The interviews were conducted from November 2012 to February 2013, in the hospital of Boa Vista; attended eight patients diagnosed with chronic TTH, aged 20-60 years. Of this group, two narrative interviews were used for the analysis of discursive material, the first before and the second after the osteopathic treatment. The results allowed the five central typological: Body and medicalization, acts of judgment and choice of therapy, Acts perceptive about the limitations on the work front CTTC, interpersonal relationships and support network, experience soon after the initial osteopathic care for CTTC. The outcomes in patients with chronic TTH showed apprehension, uncertainty about the side effects of medicines and keen insight body. Moreover, it was noticed that patients developed strategies for coping with the peculiar headache, such as retreat to an environment, with the absence of light and sound after it cooled either in a bath or compresses using the neck or head, in order to be able to sleep better, but also realize that after the osteopathic care, improved symptoms of pain, mood, fatigue, recovery of physical and cognitive abilities and relieve muscle tension.

Abstract: The DTAs (Foodborne Diseases) is a public health problem that cause reduced productivity, and can lead to death of the individual. Epidemiological records show that the food services contribute to the high incidence of foodborne illness and food handlers are considered the main route of contamination. The aim of this research was to evaluate the level of know ledge , attitudes and practices in food safety, food handlers in Federal Institutions located in the Amazon region .This research was designed through a questionnaire with 20 closed for knowledge on good practices for handling issues , applied to 60 food handlers before and after educational lectures , and presencias observations and microbiological analyzes of the hands and mouth cavities 24 handlers , divided by the four institutions for identification of bacterial contaminants . The result of the questionnaire before the lecture, was approximately 78,83 % accuracy , equivalent to a good result , although the items relating to hand washing and reuse of contaminated food had hit rate of 61,6 % and 66,6 % . After the educational lectures, this index had a total average of 91.48 %. In contrast, the microbiological results, it was found the presence of the bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus in 4 study groups. A fact that is directly reflected in the non- conformity of theoretical knowledge with practical, which, according to the classroom observations, problems can be caused by lack of hygiene material and continuous training of food handlers. In this context, it is hoped that the information collected is an innovative decision-making and landmark in the area of food safety and lunchrooms that the information gathered can help in prevention and control of foodborne and consequently its impact on consumer health food.

Abstract: Tuberculosis is among the ten main causes of death in the world and Brazil is one of 22 countries that account for 80 % of the global burden of disease. Pleural presentation, the main object of this study, is the most common extrapulmonary TB form in HIV-seronegative individuals and always appears as a differential diagnosis to be considered in patients with pleural effusions. The main objective was to know the quality of diagnoses and the epidemiological profile of patients with pleural tuberculosis in the state of Roraima aiming to offer a technical foundation to public policies destined to fight the disease. The diagnosis of pleural tuberculosis is based primarily on the identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis on direct examination or culture of pleural fluid or pleural tissue fragment, as well as in the presence of granuloma on histopathological analysis of the tissue sample. The present study was designed as a qualitative and quantitative transversal research to evaluate the diagnostic criteria being used and the determinants of pleural disease presentation in the state of Roraima, located in northern Brazil, within the limits of the Amazon, and with extensive socio-cultural and environmental diversity. This is an observational, retrospective and descriptive study based on a review of secondary SINAN data, including all cases of pleural tuberculosis reported from 2005 to 2013. Of 1.395 reported cases of tuberculosis in the period, 8.3% were of pleural presentation, totaling 38.9% of extrapulmonary cases in the sample. The incidence rate of this presentation did not follow the downward trend of pulmonary tuberculosis in the period. The prevalence of quality diagnosis was found to be 28.5 % (95% CI: 20.4 to 37.6 %), and in a univariate analysis, no variable among the possible clinical and demographic characteristics searched in the data basis had significant impact in the quality of the diagnosis. The main conclusion of the study indicates the need for a specific referral policy at a state level in order to facilitate access to diagnostic methods recommended by the National Tuberculosis Control Programme available in the health system.
